THE CHRISTMAS CARD KARDASHIAN STYLE

You know them, those families that have 200 Christmas cards printed from their best vacation photo Christmas cards or have already posed with a Santa hat by the pine tree planted in the garden in September. So too the Kardashian family. For years, matriarch Kris has been dressing up her family for a family portrait, to then spread it with ‘best wishes’ among friends and family.

When the family became world-famous in 2007 thanks to the sexcapades of Kim and their reality show, this was immediately reflected in the annual Christmas card. What in the 90s was mainly a cute little family in their Sunday best, grew into a high end fashion shoot where in 2013 even top photographer David LaChapelle was brought in.

The appearance of the Kardashian Christmas card had thus become one of the absolute highlights of the holiday season . The shock and disappointment were considerable when Kim let slip in early December that we would have to do without a Christmas snapshot from the reality family this year. “We are a bit confused this year, because we haven't had time for it. I think this will be the first year that we don't do our card.” To soften this enormous sadness, we here look back at two decades of Kardashian Christmas cards and speculate about the card for 2015.
