Things you should buy in the men's department

Look, we love clothes and buying clothes. But sometimes it’s a nerve-wracking process because we can’t find a certain item or we’re not satisfied with the fit and that is an assault on your happiness. Now, the thing is that in the case of some items you can keep searching forever as long as you’re not looking in the right places. And that right place is: the men's department.

Wool or Merino wool sweater

You’re looking for a slightly oversized cozy soft sweater but everything is just too small or just not nice enough. Men's sweaters are often of better quality, larger in fit and therefore perfect for your look.

White shirt

Perhaps the most difficult piece of clothing ever. A men's shirt will be the rescue because they just always fit better. Opt for a small size with a tailored fit and you’ll be free of all your problems.

Baggy jeans

We all want a boyfriend jeans but the search for the perfect pair is tricky. In the absence of a boyfriend from whom you can borrow them, you rush to the men's pants and try them on until you find the right one. Added bonus, they are often cheaper than the boyfriend jeans that you find in the women's department.

White t-shirts

Same problem as with the shirt, the perfect white t-shirt is a kind of myth. The ones from T by Alexander Wang come pretty close but still, but still. I once bought a whole stack of white shirts from the men's department at H&M and they are still my favorite. Great for wearing with shorts, nice and baggy, better fabrics than what you can buy in the women's section and, again, often a lot cheaper.

Sweatpants

Also something like that, why are women's sweatpants always terrible? The men's ones are big and gigantic and you can just disappear into them. My favorite is from America Today, and in a large please. Perfect for binge-watching series on the couch.
