While the angels Adriana, Doutzen, Candice, Alessandra are sweating it out in the gym over the coming weeks to appear super tight on the catwalk on December 9 , I am increasingly tempted by this autumn weather to knead my hands in flour, butter, and sugar. I know I know, not so Victoria Secret proof, but this is part of the cooling days. Warm madeleines, sticky brownies, meringue with red fruit or a piece of butter cake with tea. And we are not talking about agave syrup, dates, spelt flour, buckwheat flakes, fruit syrup, and coconut oil. Well, if we are going to do it, let's go all the way, don't you think?
Sand cookies or a simple cake I can still manage from memory, but for the tastiest lemon pie or carrot cake (oh, sounds a bit healthy) I have my favorite recipes.
This raspberry cheesecake is one of my favorites. Also for the less kitchen princesses among us, this cake is almost foolproof. This is the recipe.
Tip: Also nice with bastogne cookies as a base and I often use regular flour instead of almond flour.
De beste worteltaart ooit. Don't be put off by the mega long shopping list, that's just how it is and with all the spices you need to get, you can also make delicious mulled wine. So, I've already convinced you again, haven't I?

This recipe from Jamie (sigh…) is actually for Christmas, but too delicious to wait that long. It is a whole sticky warm apple pie with a caramel sauce. If you find that too intense, you can also serve a big dollop of crème fraîche alongside. Here is the recipe. I warn you, Jamie's site might just lead you to visit the gym more often.
Madeleines. The best when they just come out of the oven. The recipe is not so difficult, yet I have managed a few times that the little bumps did not rise during baking (do you understand what I mean?). It is quite an art to bake the perfect madeleines. I am curious if you can do it in one go.
Tip: Also nice with a lot of lemon zest or cocoa powder in the batter.
