7 tips for the prettiest hair

Hair is holy so it needs a lot of TLC if you want to have the prettiest mane around. This doesn’t mean you have to spend hours in the bathroom, cause it’s all about the little things you do.

protect your hair

I’ve already mentioned quite a few times how important it is to use sunscreen for your skin. The same goes for your hair. Your hair too can dry out in the summer and at the end of the day it’ll feel like a haystack on your head. And this isn’t necessarily only related to the summer, protect your hair from any heated sources like blow dryers, straighteners and curling irons.

princess bed

Cotton pillows extract the moisture from your hair. Hence the reason your pillow might feel like a soaked up dish clothe in the morning. Smear on a special hair serum in the evening and you’ll wake up with radiant hair in the morning. And ditch the cotton pillow cases and pamper your hair with a pretty silk variety. Silk is magical and miraculous for your hair. It makes it shine.

washing

Washing your hair daily is actually a dead shame. As is the excess shampoo you see going down the drain and the by washing it daily, you actually get the opposite result of what the shampoo is intended for. It either becomes very greasy or extremely dry. So opt for washing it every other day, and use dry shampoo on the days you don’t wash it.

Inside Out

I know, I know, it sounds so cliché but beauty really does come from within. Eating healthy results in radiant hair. Fatty foods make your hair dull and dry. And no expensive shampoo or hair mask can change that.

hair ties

I’m a huge fan of using hair ties and you can find them scattered in every room of my house cause no way in hell am I leaving the door without my signature bun. Make sure to take the hair tie out when you go to bed though, cause it can break your hair. Give your lovely locks a bit of rest in the evening, on that fluffy silk pillow of course.

Water

Hair consists 20% out of water. So a few extra glasses a day won’t do you any harm. Having a hard time drinking enough? Here are a few tips to help you out.

Tools

Brushes, straighteners, and any other tools you use to style your hair should be cleaned every now and then. Brushes hoard all the dirty hairs that fall out when you brush it and curling irons and straighteners get filthy from all your styling products. This won’t make your hair look any better. Clean them, get rid of the excess dead hairs in your brush; this will work miracles on your mane and add that extra bit of shine.
