COOL DELPOZO HAIR
in 7 steps
Delpozo’s show was one of the great surprises of the New York Fashion Week. Skirts that would stow away four children (or your loved one), voluptuous shoulders with sequin, elaborate fabrics and patterns. The word ‘boring’ was nowhere to be found.
The makeup was a matte finish and the eyes made up with a sequin eye shadow. But the hair; an acme of class and subtle chic, the solution to a bad hair day of a stress day when you have no time to blow dry.
You need long hair. If you don’t have that you can always apply extensions. But we’ll just assume you have the length for now.
Start off with damp hair and apply some styling mousse. At Delpozo the hair received a Moroccanoil treatment (my favorite, very handy for detangling the hair of your children and treating dry spots on your elbows, just saying) after that they applied Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling cream for a good base.
Blow-dry the hair and brush it through with a brush that has real hair.
When it’s all dry you part it asymmetrically, more to the left than to the right. Spray it with a luminous hairspray by Moroccanoil for fixation and extra shine.
Collect and bind the hair at the top of the neck with an elastic band.
Now pay attention: Divide the hair above the elastic into two parts, creating a space above the elastic, pull the ponytail through there. It’s like your ponytail is making a somersault in the direction of your head, get it? That’s how you make a beautiful romantic looking ponytail.
Add a little hairspray and you’re all done.
