ELLEN HIGH IS TAKING OVER AMAYZINE
Heey, here Jet lol. I'm still among the meadows, cows, pots and pans tapping away at my book. A fun and huge job I can say, so I quickly shut down again before I miss the deadline. Luckily, here is top hockey star Ellen Hoog treating you to posts about food and sport this week. Besides playing hockey, her book ‘In perfect shape’ is in shops where she teaches us all about how best to combine sport and food, and she gives you exercises for home to, indeed, getting into perfect shape. She has a six-pack, you get extremely jealous on, so if anyone can know, it's her.
Just a few quick questions to Ellen, before she starts feeding us this whole week with sports tips, recipes and a photo diary. I dive back into my cubicle, Ellen; take it a ways.
Where do you live?
‘I live in Amsterdam.’
How many times a week do you train?
‘In five days I train eight times and on Sunday I have a competition.’
And how many hours is that per week?
’5pm.’
Do you ever not feel like it?
‘Sure.’
Fair huh? How much effort do you put into those cubes on your belly?
‘I do strength training twice a week and that includes training my abs. I also use them while playing hockey, so it also kind of comes naturally. So part training and part healthy diet of course.’
What do you prefer to eat?
‘Sushi or the sweet potato dish with blue cheese that's in my book.’
What's in your glass on a night out?
‘Pornstar Martini or Gin Tonic.’
High heel or trainer?
‘Sneakers. Very occasionally a high heel.’
Where can I buy your book?
