Golden Globes 2015: tops and flops
Ladies and gentlemen, award season has begun! Hollywood is toned, injected, and bronzed and ready to sparkle and shine. Last night, the Golden Globe Awards were presented for the 72nd time in Beverly Hills, and this morning we were treated to an amazing red carpet. Of course, all the looks were extensively discussed and analyzed over coffee, and we present to you het the good, the bad, and the ugly.
What stood out to us
Red was very popular this year. The ladies in the 50+ category all looked (almost) stunning, and we saw many variations of the evening gown with cape that Lupita Nyong’o and Queen Máxima made a big impression last year.
The four months pregnant Keira Knightley wore a handmade dress by Chanel that 30 people supposedly worked on for a week. However, opinions on the result were divided at the Amayzine offices.
Amal Clooney made her debut at the Golden Globes on the arm of hubby George. She wore a classic black evening gown by Dior that had very little to criticize, but drew attention by wearing long white opera gloves and made a statement with a ‘Je suis Charlie’ button on her white clutch. Stars like Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, Kathy Bates, and Helen Mirren also used the red carpet to show their support after the attack in Paris.
