If anyone knows what the trends are, it's the top models. They see, smell, taste, and wear everything long before it reaches us. For the coolest things, you should go to the model girls. We are really good at copying.
The leather jacket
As a model, you have to be cool and show that you know which labels you wear, but your look shouldn't distract too much. You need to be able to adapt to every brand, so a style that is too pronounced can exclude things. The leather jacket is always good, completes everything, and is nice and warm because don't ask me why, but backstage it is always ice-cold.
The Chelsea boot
A lot of walking happens during fashion weeks, so the Louboutins and Jimmy Choo’s stay in the fitting room for a while. Models can be sketched in Chelsea boots, as they are super comfortable and make a nice fashion statement.
An old time favorite: the skinny jeans. Why? Because the model fits perfectly so that your feminine body shapes come out best. Do I need to say more? They are still men, so maybe just put on those skinny jeans.
As a model, you might have your first call at 5:00 AM. So you really don't have much time to put together your outfit. A skinny is always good, super easy and it shows off those legs that only end in heaven. Favorite model skinnies are those from Rag & Bone and the pencil from Acne.
Oversized bag
Every model carries quite a bit during fashion week. Your set cards, a pair of heels for when you have a go-see, an extra battery for your phone, some unsalted nuts for a snack in between... A large bag is a lifesaver. Although you also see a lot of girls walking around with that very last, exclusive Chanel bag.
Trainers
Comfy and trendy, the sneaker. But it has to be a hip, exclusive pair. You get that.
Short shorts
With or without thick tights underneath. Short shorts, Chelsea boots, leather jacket, oversized bag, and you're ready. Where is the casting? There is the casting.
