It will pour down from the sky tomorrow, but please weather man, let it stay rainless today. Thank you.
I will soon get on a boat to celebrate friend M's thirtieth birthday. And he is already having a premature midlife (or is it called quarterlife?), so this day must look so beautiful that it feels like turning thirty is the best thing that has ever happened to him. Doesn't it seem that way?
Anyway, I obviously need a suitable outfit, so look and shiver.
A boat means wind, and although a Beyoncé would be very happy with this (she doesn't go through life without a fan, after all), I find it really annoying to constantly have to take my loose hair out of my mouth. Therefore, I choose a top knot à la Joss, nice and easy hatsekidee on top of my head. I keep my makeup simple. I use the BB Cream from Clinique with SPF. Three flies in one: day cream, foundation, and sunscreen. Handy, right? This time I won't go for the standard black eyeliner, but use a brown pencil from Chanel. I apply this both above and below, and on an extra spot above my eye, but then on the inside just below my lashes. This makes your lashes look even longer. In the inner corner of my eye, I use a silver pencil from the Hema. Then I choose the new Wake Me Up mascara from Rimmel. A volumizing mascara with a nice thick brush that makes the lashes instantly fuller, but not heavy. I don't use bronzer but the Shimmer Brick highlighter from Bobbi Brown, because the effect of this is so beautiful in sunlight. I apply this with a brush only on my cheekbones and voilà, I have shiny sexy cheeks. I color my lips with the orange-like lipstick from Estee Lauder (number 320).
Look, if you're smart, you just wear pants or shorts on a boat. After all, you don't want the whole wide world (or your boat mates) to be able to say peekaboo to your vagine. But sorry, I feel like wearing this yellow dress from H&M and if I want something, it has to be like this. Don't worry, I still have some sense, so I leave the high heels in the closet and choose these Huarache sandals. A kind of hippie-like boot shoe, nice, right? I complete the look with these new franjetas from Zara.
Totally boat-proof, I thought. So bring on the cava and let the sun shine!
