Around four o'clock at the editorial office, it sometimes happens that someone gets a bit tired here and there, and anyway, the question: who feels like something tasty? is asked. Everyone knows that when I get the task to fetch “something tasty”, I come back with fruit, nuts, rice cakes, or whatever. They know me by now. Someone else brings kletskoppen, chocotoffees, or English licorice.

I share some healthy snacks with you that you can easily take in your bag or to work. Anyway, you'll make a splash with these.

– If you make a smoothie in the morning, make just a little bit more and put it in a cup that you can seal well. Pop it in your bag, and at work, there’s bound to be a fridge where you can store the cup.

– Maybe you also have a blender nearby, then you can make a fresh shake (nutritionally and vitamin-wise, it doesn't matter whether it's made in the morning or fresh). For example, a banana, spinach, blueberries, and coconut water. Just mix it, and you have a super snack smoothie. But maybe you're more in the mood for a bite, then take a container of (goat, soy, cow, whatever) yogurt with banana, and if you're really hardcore, add a bit of flaxseed and goji berries.

– I am a huge fan of energy or green bars. There's always one in my bag. I usually buy them at a health store or make them myself. It's a bit of work, but just do it once, because it's really fun (and relaxing) to do, and you have a healthy snack for the whole week. Here's how to make it:
– 1 banana
– 20 grams of oats
– unsalted almonds
– 1 apple
– a pinch of cinnamon powder
– 4 tablespoons of coconut flakes
– 10 dates
– cake tin (preferably rectangular)
– coconut oil for greasing
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Mix the oats, cinnamon powder, coconut flakes, and banana in a food processor until it becomes a smooth sticky mixture and put the batter in a bowl.

Pit the dates and cut them into small pieces. Then chop the almonds (choose the size you want) and peel and slice your apple, and add everything to the batter in the bowl.
Grease the cake tin with coconut oil and pour the batter into the tin. Press it down well so that it has an even height everywhere. Bake it for half an hour in the oven, but do check it occasionally. When it's done, cut it into strips while it's still warm and let it cool down well afterwards. Turn the tin upside down, and if all goes well, the strips will fall out; otherwise, help it a bit with a knife at the edges.

– The same goes for a slice of cake. Just head to the kitchen, but then you have something.  Here I wrote about this last week. Tasty, healthy, and easy to take with you.
