Rotterdam. I don't go there enough. I still remember well that I got to go on a "weekend away" for the first time with my dearest friend E. “weekend away” I believe we had just celebrated our thirteenth birthday. Rotjeknor was the travel option and we both packed two giant suitcases for one night at Hotel New York. We also spent an hour unpacking and displaying all our makeup, clothes, and the bottles of Breezers. We also found the room service menu quite interesting, so we ordered apple pie at night. The guy who brought it was so attractive (probably not even 18) that we ordered something else. It seriously took us a quarter of an hour before we dared to open the door because we had to completely change from thick white bathrobes to party outfits (just for him and that one moment). The funny thing was that my parents were sleeping in the room next to us, because of course we weren't allowed to be alone yet, but we felt oh so grown-up. Well, that was decades ago and now I love to go out myself, especially to these restaurants. Shall I see you there sometime?.

Absolutely

one of my favorites . Definitely for sleeping (be sure to book a corner room for the best view) and if you want to eat there, I would definitely. always make a reservation , because it’s always packed. By the way, order something from the oyster bar. They have incredibly delicious fruits de mer there. If you really want to go all out, take the water taxi to the restaurant. It goes super fast and is very spectacular., A real bistro:.

white linen, wooden chairs and benches against the wall. The menu is full of delicious French dishes. Don't forget the cheese platter. Enjoy it with a bottle of Sancerre or Viognier in the cooler. Brasserie Pierre.

This is another delightful French brasserie (they are my favorites). For lunch, you can have the perfect croque madame, and in the evening, frog legs are on the menu. That’s also very French, but you have to be in the mood for it. I prefer to dip a fresh piece of baguette in the garlic sauce. Also known as.

'The meat canteen' ‘Take a man here without hesitation, because he will feel like he’s in some kind of heaven. And so will I, by the way. I don’t often eat a piece of meat, but here it’s just so delicious. You get a bit of a hip New York vibe; industrial, tiles on the wall, meat hooks above the bar, and you have chilled wine on the menu. Nice place.’ Ter Marsch & Co.. This is also a good spot for meat lovers. It seems they have the best burgers in the city (they have a real burger menu), but I admit, I haven’t tried that (yet). I can tell you about the Caesar salad: it’s delicious. The bar is open very late, so you can hang out for a long time, and if the weather is nice, the wooden tables and chairs are set up outside..
