If you don't know what you want to be later, I would say; fashion journalist. Really, life doesn't get much better than this. I'm writing this piece after just walking around my room for five minutes, doing a little dance in my walk-in closet, and fishing a bottle of Hendrick’s Gin and a can of tonic out of the minibar.
After my adventures with Twingo in Paris Renault asked me this time to try the Clio Initiale Paris. It is actually a few notches more luxurious than Twingo and that would please me, they thought. So this morning I stepped into an Airbus at a very Christian hour on my way to... Paris.
The label Initiale Paris stands for luxury, taste, style, and sublime service. This Clio is therefore completely finished in the finest leather. From seats in three colors of leather to the dashboard and the cover around the gear stick. I immediately asked if there was also a nail polish available in the soft gray color of the Clio. They are going to work on that, hooray.
To celebrate taste and craftsmanship, the people from Renault put together a program that almost made me skip with joy. First, we were welcomed on the Renault boat on the Seine for a bite and a drink. Then I joyfully tore through the Parisian boulevards in my new friend Clio (although I will never forget Twingo, of course).
In Rue Saint Honoré, we made a stop at Nicolas Ouchenir, who is the man responsible for all those beautiful calligraphies on the invitations to fashion shows. For Dior, Pucci, Chanel. Chanel often takes him on fashion trips so that if there are any changes in the company, he can also treat that other person to a handwritten card in their hotel room. In my next life, I want to work with him. Or of course, become the new Nicolas. That works too.
After Nicolas, I entered Opera Garnier into the route planner. Or actually, that was already done for me by the people from Renault. There I got to nose around with the costume department's couture makers. Did you know that even Marc Jacobs and Christian Lacroix design the costumes for the opera? Tomorrow I will show you everything. Now quickly slide into a dress and have a cocktail in the Art bar of hotel Royal Monceau. I have so many pillows on my bed that Charlotte York would be jealous of it. Bonne nuit.
