May, Mart and an overdose of shoes

Mart and me. I still remember that, it must have been sixteen years ago, I received my first invite for his show and I was really nervous about it. Because: what does one wear to such an event? Luckily there was champagne and bitterballen and a lot of nice people. Apparently, I behaved because since then Mart always treats me to a nice spot on his frow.

Now, so many years later, we have lunch and gossip (a little, a little) and Mart literally rides in here from time to time. Then we drink water or wine (depends on the time but Mart quickly says: “Somewhere in my great, great empire it must be five o’clock now”) and come up with fun ideas.

Like now again. Mart had an incredibly good idea. I had so much demand for the boots I got from him that Mart decided to organize a small shoe party.
