How many designer bags do you have?

My one and only is the Chanel 2.55 Jumbo, black with silver and caviar leather. Besides that, I also have a nice Marc Jacobs, does that count?

How did you get this beauty?

Bought when I reached a milestone last year with ModeMusthaves.com. It had been on my wishlist for a long time and I wanted to ‘try it on“ with a friend for the second time before we planned our trip to Paris to buy it there. I was so in love and happy that it was in stock, that I bought it in the Netherlands anyway! You won't believe it, but those bags are hard to come by. There is often a waiting list for them. They always act very mysteriously about the stock and the classic bags and colors are never shown in the store. That's the policy of Chanel, I've been told in the Chanel boutique.

What does a bag do for a woman?

This bag definitely makes every outfit a party! We have been almost inseparable for a year now. If I have another bag with me, it feels a bit like cheating.

TELL ME HONESTLY, ARE YOU A BIT CAREFUL WITH IT, DO YOU THROW IT IN A CORNER OR ARE THEY ALL ON A SHELF IN A DUSTBAG?

I am very careful with it, it always stands neatly on the stairs in the living room when I come home. I would prefer to use a bag hook when I go out, super handy! I just find it a bit silly looking, haha.

What about the contents? Are you a chaotic person or neatly organized?

Nice and organized! I can find everything blindfolded. I don't understand those women who drag around such a big suitcase and put everything in it and can never find anything back. Kind of a Mary Poppins effect ;-).

What do you always carry in your bag?

Hand cream, I wash my hands quite often and otherwise get dry hands. It won't be the first time I have to buy hand cream because it's not in my bag. Confessions... I really can't live without it.

Do you notice that more doors open with a designer bag?

I haven't experienced that yet. I often get compliments about my bag and notice that other women can get very enthusiastic about it too! I feel the same way about friends with a nice bag. Just have to touch it, try it on, and dream away.

Do you prefer trendy or classic? And should a bag also be practical?

Classics are forever. If I have a daughter, this bag is definitely for her! Funny detail: the bag is called 2.55 because it was designed in February 1955, which is exactly my mother's birth month and year.

And lastly, is there another one on your wishlist? Which one?

Which not? The Valentino Lock Bag, the Chloé Drew Bag, the Balenciaga City Bag, the Chanel Wallet On A Chain, and I could go on for a while. The bags from Céline, 3.1 Phillip Lim, and Saint Laurent are also to die for!
