Postman Healthy Lunch
And then something was delivered that made me almost jump higher than when I received a box from Net-a-porter from Net-a-porter. Two crates full of goodies from De Buurtboer. “In the hope that everyone can ban the croquette and plastic cheese from the canteen in the new year…” Fortunately, there are already two delicious salads on our lunch table every day, along with enough rice cakes, Waldkorn biscuits and scrambled egg, but we definitely need to buy a new jar of Nutella and peanut butter weekly, and the white sprinkles are now a favorite. Hey, we are just human too. But then there was De Buurtboer and suddenly I was eating and drinking the most delicious goat cheese, mackerel, strawberry jam, thinly sliced meats, feta, various tapenades, egg salad, and fresh juices. Well, incredibly much. All products are organic, come from the best suppliers, and are super fresh.
I had the honor of preparing lunch and I did that with all the goodies that were in the crates. A salad with lentils, feta, walnuts, and some tomato. Another salad with grilled vegetables (which were also included) with small balls of mozzarella, some pine nuts, and alfalfa (also known as sprouts, looks a bit like mini bean sprouts). Coincidentally, there was still zucchini at home, so I made a simple soup with it. Sandwiches from Hartog, BBrood, and Bakkerij Simon Meijssen were richly topped with cheese and pesto, and the spelt crackers are all gone now. There are still a bit of fish, vegetables, spreads, and bread left, so I will set the table full of goodies again for the second time later.

That De Buurtboer, huh. That's a kind of dream of mine. Fresh items delivered to your home every day. Or at the office, that works too. Or wherever you want. And it’s not that super duper clean eating that’s really just a piece of cucumber on a rye bread. No, just good cheese, tasty real jam, sturdy spelt bread, and pestos with no added things that you don’t even know the name of. Good food. That keeps you just as beautiful as you already are. And no, I don’t have shares in this company and no, I’m not being paid to advertise for De Buurtboer, but I really want to promote making a different choice and it doesn’t all have to be mega skinny and such, but just something different than that soggy meatball sandwich or that toast with some kind of rubber cheese. Yuck.
