Spring is in the air, put some music on

The best songs from the editors

The sun is slowly coming through the clouds and the temperature is becoming more pleasant. I've already tried on my bikini in front of the mirror and aside from my milk bottles and white buttocks, I'm ready to hit the beach. I'm looking forward to sultry summer evenings on a terrace or at a long table in my garden. Maybe I'll treat myself to a Big Green Egg instead of a new bag. Sea bass from the barbecue and sangria from a large pitcher, and then for dessert a glass of Sambuca (my guilty pleasure). To get us and you even more in the mood, I asked your editors about their favorite spring song.

May-Britt: “Just give me the song ‘Miami’ by Will Smith. Preferably in a convertible with the volume just a bit too loud so that it’s almost a little tacky, but everyone forgives you because it’s such a sunny song.”

Put on ‘Let me down easy’ by Sheppard for Liesbeth and she’ll immediately be dancing on her chair. But you score even more points with Nick Mulvey’s song ‘Cucurucu’. Beach, cocktail in hand, sunglasses on nose, and preferably somewhere on a beach in Brazil.

As for Josselin: you won’t believe it; “but I get really happy when I hear the song ‘This must be a Sunday’ by Lange Frans and Baas B. Especially when it’s actually Sunday, of course.”

Our international editor Charlene knows that summer has begun when she hears ‘Sunlight’ by The Magician. And she’s right.

I get incredibly cheerful from ‘Seven Days in Sunny June’ by Jamiroquai, especially with the clip, then I immediately want to go to a park with a basket full of food and my friends.

Happy Sunday!
