2x the tastiest homemade ice tea

(vodka can be added later)

Thirst, we get thirsty in this warm weather. And I understand that at 1:00 PM you are actually craving that bottle of very light rosé, but just hold on a little longer. This morning when I put on my striped dress, smeared my bare legs, and pressed sunglasses on my nose, I actually wanted to go to the park with a stack of magazines, a basket full of goodies and homemade ice tea. And then I’ll take a bottle of vodka with me for when it’s 4:00 PM. Yes people, this fit slash healthy slash green slash girl really does enjoy a glass.

I have two favorite homemade ice tea recipes that I’ll share with you. Even better if you make it a day in advance and put it in the fridge. Take a large jerry can (you can buy really nice ones at Hema) and put it in your basket for the park, on a boat, rooftop terrace, or wherever.

Homemade green ice tea (very simple and tasty)

Here's what you need and how to make it:

1 liter of boiling water

3 bags of green tea

1 lemon sliced

a bunch of mint

agave syrup (optional)

ice cubes

Let the bags steep in the boiling water for a long time, really about half an hour. Add the lemon and mint and let everything cool down. Once it’s cold, put it in the fridge for a night. Then take the jug out and add a drop of agave syrup. Pour into a glass with ice cubes.

Red ice tea (from one of my favorite sites: is really one of my favorites. She writes incredibly well, with each recipe you get a story, it all looks equally delicious and easy to make. I can easily spend an hour on this site and get very hungry.)

Here's what you need and how to make it:

1 grapefruit
200 grams of strawberries (can also be from the freezer)
250 ml cranberry juice
750 ml cold earl grey tea
optional some mint sprigs for garnish
ice cubes

First, make tea from 3 bags of earl grey and let it cool down well.

Juice the grapefruit. Put the juice together with the strawberries, cranberry juice, and cooled tea in the blender. Blend everything into a smooth drink and strain it over a nice jug. Serve with plenty of ice cubes and a few mint sprigs. Yum...
