– The four biggest trends in the best hair colors –

A month ago I dyed my hair for the first time coloured my hair. The ombre look is very passé and makes way for balayage. Sounds crazy, but it's a kind of transition of different shades of brown that turn out a bit darker. With ombre, it's often a lower edge of the hair that gets a different color, while with balayage, it's all more sketchy blended into the hair. The colors mahogany, chocolate, honey, and other warm shades are all colored together (by the hairdresser on the fly) creating all soft transitions.

Ecaille sounds really exciting to me because it's a French word for tortoiseshell and that means turtle shell. Now I find the tortoiseshell very beautiful, but applying it to my hair is another story. Still, it's a trend and seems to be incredibly cool. It's a bit between balayage and ombre. With balayage, it's a bit drawn, with ombre it's at the bottom, and ecaille is a kind of natural gradient from top to bottom.
