THE MOST BEAUTIFUL IN THE COUNTRY
These are the beauty secrets of queens
Since my visit to Máxima so I am completely captivated by all that royal beauty. Okay, they probably have a team of nice people around them to spice things up a bit when things aren't going well, but they also have their own little secrets. Or actually, now they are no longer secrets. Because these are for you.
Marie Antoinette
Marie Antoinette had a complexion that you would envy, because it was incredibly smooth, shiny and beautiful in color. She had to put in some effort for that, and the secret lay in a face mask that she could simply pull from the kitchen cupboard. Two teaspoons of cognac, 1/3 cup of dry milk powder, a bit of egg white, and some lemon juice would work very well. Why? The cognac stimulates blood circulation and reduces pores. The lactic acid dissolves the sebum and the citric acid makes dead skin cells disappear. The result is thus Marie Antoinette's complexion.
Queen Elizabeth I
A fair complexion was really the beauty ideal, and a lot was done to make the skin even whiter. At that time, there weren't really any bleaching products, so Queen Elizabeth wore white foundation. Well, foundation, it was just white lead powder and vinegar. Not really a recommendation, but funny to know.
Queen Victoria
All those English queens naturally wore gloves, and they could sometimes start to smell unpleasant due to sweaty hands. So those gloves were dipped in rose oil to ensure they had a nice scent.
Queen Elizabeth II
Queen Elizabeth II loved lipstick. Clarins was her favorite brand, but with her coronation gown, she just couldn't find the perfect color. So in 1952, she had her own color developed; red/blueish, which was named The Balmorol after the Scottish estate.

Princess Diana
Makeup artist Mary Greenwell was Princess Diana's makeup artist from 1991 and she advised against a few things, thus giving good tips. For example, Diana never left the house with blue eyeshadow again because blue eyes don't need it, and she never left the house without mascara.
Kate Middleton
The secret to her beautiful skin: rosehip oil. A few drops and it works for soft, glowing skin and thus against wrinkles. So that already beautiful Kate is going to age beautifully. Without wrinkles.
