Things to look forward to in January
The lights are gone, the streamers cleaned up, the party over. It is January. The month with the highest divorce rate and the second least hours of sunshine. Yet we all have to get through this misery and what better way to do that than to look at the bright side of life . To be honest, it’s a bit of a search but there are really quite a few things we can look forward to this month. Just wait and see.
Girls season 4
We’ve had to wait far too long again, but starting next week our friends from Brooklyn are back for a new season Girls. On January 12, HBO will air the first episode of the new season and this extra long trailer proves that it will be enjoyable again.
attend Amsterdam Fashion Week,
Another bright spot in the January darkness is the winter edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week. According to many, the best edition, because unlike summer, everyone is back in the country and craving a bit of glamour in this dreary month. We are already looking forward to the catwalk shows of Claes Iversen, Spijkers en Spijkers, Edwin Oudshoorn, Dennis Diem, and Bas Kosters. Are the invitations still coming? Here tickets are on sale and of course we will report extensively for you.
Hotel night
On the weekend of January 17 and 18, the Hotel night will take place in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague, where residents can stay for a bargain in the coolest hotels of their city where all kinds of hip parties are also organized. There’s hardly a better way to break the January blues.
Arie’s gym is open
We love it when a plan comes together and that Arie Boomsma is opening his own gym, the Vondelgym, has been inevitable and also very necessary for some time now. Fortunately, it is finally happening and we can go somewhere to become just as beautiful as he is.
Amayzine’s Look of the Year Awards
To conclude, we have a scoop for you today, because at the end of January there is a truly amazing stylish event on the calendar making its debut: Amayzine’s very first Look of the Year Awards. Amayzine has now been around for one year and counting and that means we have seen more than 365 Looks of the Day come by. At the end of January, we will take stock and award our very best looks. Your Amayzine editors are currently deep in thought about who were the most beautiful, coolest, and trendiest in the categories Famous, Man, and Fashion. As the cherry on top, we will also award a Style Award to the most stylish woman of the year and her stylist. Stay tuned!
