This is how you make
original vacation photos
Here it comes again: the classic feet in the sand or feet by the pool, a close-up selfie of you and your bestie sipping on a cocktail, a grand joyful jump on the beach and oh yes, that celebrated heart hand, preferably taken at sunset. Do you recognize your own vacation pics in one of these descriptions? I certainly do, but as May already wrote about the cliché hashtags: nobody is waiting for this. I don't think you are either. With these tips, you too can take the freshest and most original vacation photos on your smartphone. Bet it will get you more likes?
Selfie-tired
I find all those too-close selfies really so 2014. A selfie stick too, actually. But what to do if there's no one else around? Did you know that you can take photos with the iPhone using the sound button on the headphones? So lean your phone against something, a full can or something, and hold the cord of your headphones (attached to the phone, of course). You can still go for that cocktail selfie, but now it looks like it was taken by someone.
Position
I already told you once how to take a good festival photo , where I talked about a unique position. This also applies to your vacation shot. Want a nice beach photo? Then lie down on the ground and zoom in on the grains of sand. Wowww.
Panorama
I notice that very few people use the panorama option and I don't know how it is with other phones, but with the iPhone, you can take damn beautiful photos with it. For example, of the wonderfully filled dining table or when you're in the car driving past beautiful mountains (you just hang the phone out the side window). They are a bit less suitable for Instagram because they have a small size here, but you will definitely score with them on Facebook.
Droplet
I found this tip on YouTube. You can let a tiny droplet run over your lens (nothing will happen to your phone), for a funny effect. Where the water runs, the image is enlarged and the rest remains very blurry. If that's not arty, I don't know what is.
Lighting
The reason professional photos are often more beautiful has a lot to do with the lighting. You often see a guy (or girl) with a big shiny thing during photoshoots, to catch the reflection of the sun, which creates prettier light. You can do this on vacation too! Want to take a nice portrait photo of your husband, for example on the picturesque balcony? (Carefully) grab the bathroom mirror, tilt it against yourself, and if the angle is right, you'll see that the face is illuminated. This results in beautiful, bright photos. Do you have one of those silver sunshade things in the car? Even better!
Flash
Use your flash in very bright sunlight. This ensures that the dark shadow under the nose and eyes disappears.
Binoculars
Yes, you read that right, you can also put binoculars in front of your camera lens. This way you can zoom in extra on the image, but you also have a nice round frame. Fun, right?
