THIS IS HOW YOU SURVIVE A TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHT

I have spent quite a few hours on planes recently, traveling to all corners of the world. While others sigh and groan at the thought of being strapped in for about ten hours, I always look forward to some offline time. Time for myself, no one bothering me, and finally some time for these things.

Clean up that stuff

A long (but even a short) flight is ideal for reducing your camera roll on your mobile from 4,239 to 714. You know you can set WhatsApp so that the photos sent via the app are not automatically saved in your photo album, right? That saves a lot of junk in your album.

Time for your nails

I would spare your neighbors the sight of you filing your nails, but what is ideal is the Abricot cream from Dior to take along and apply to your cuticles. Goodbye dry skin. Normally, you don't have time for that, but on the plane, this is ideal.

Catch up

I don't often give myself the time to go to the cinema, but I do want to see certain movies. On my last flight, I watched Hazes (beautiful), Gooische Vrouwen (hilarious), Ventoux (meh), and Gone Girl (that was so thrilling and long that I just finished it in time, and it was really annoying when the purser started telling what the weather was like at the destination) and for my upcoming trip, I have some more planned.

Make a photo book

The actual filling of your photo book you obviously have to do online, but what you can do is create a folder with the photos you are going to use for your photo album. I also like to make folders with photos that I want to enlarge and that I will finally print out.

Connection with your neighbor

It’s not necessary, and I often skip it, but a colleague of mine recently went on a trip and had a great time with her neighbor. Once at the destination, she met up with him a few more times. With all the consequences that entails...
