5 REASONS WHY I'M ADDICTED TO NIFTY

And you really should and want to be too

I always get quite crazy and excited about everything that has to do with crafting . Almost every little shop nowadays sells stickers, cards, and crafting papers, which means I never come home empty-handed. And that also means that I now have a workspace full of crafting supplies. But okay. What. Should. I. Do. With. That. Then. And then I became hooked on the Facebook page Nifty. The sister of Tasty, which Jet is hugely addicted to and where the most delicious chocolate chip brownie cheesecake appears, making you dive straight into the kitchen to make chocolate banana biscuit balls. But Nifty then. Also something that only makes your crafting desire grow bigger. My addiction is big. Very big. Well, here's why.

1. You can give a second life to everything, really everything

Giving a second life to scrabble tiles, an old vase that you actually find too ugly, old water bottles, tiles, or whatever. You can make something out of it. And because of that, that old junk becomes quite fun again.

2. Confirmation: you never have enough stuff

Every video you see makes you want to recreate it immediately. You can do that with a lot of things you just have in your kitchen cupboard, but some things you just have to buy. So there's always a reason to keep replenishing your stock.

3. You always have a gift ready

Forget has a gift to buy? No worries, because you can just scroll through the Facebook site looking for something you can still craft together. There are plenty of fun things you can make with items you have at home. You can make coasters from old scrabble tiles, a pop-up bouquet card from paper, and your favorite book on a small pendant around your neck. It all sounds very quaint, but it's so much fun and you always have something with you.

4. Always inspiration

I may have an enormous cabinet full of crafting supplies, but I never really know what to make with them. Because of that, I always end up buying new stuff, which I then also don't do anything with. That's a point. These videos do ensure that your stock gets used up.

5. Crafting doesn't have to be difficult

The videos never last longer than a minute. Or actually; sometimes just half a minute. And no, it's not in the Jamie Olivers style where half of it is already glued and painted; in that video, everything really happens. That's nice because it makes the project achievable to make and you won't be busy with it for months. The only point is that the drying time is of course skipped and the groceries haven't been done yet, so you have to add an hour for that. Still perfectly achievable.
