5 SIMPLE CHANGES TO YOUR HAIRSTYLE
That really make a huge impression
When you're just busy working and then you have to head to a fancy Friday afternoon drink, you don't have time to spend another hour in front of the mirror giving yourself a completely new hairstyle. But you can solve that super quickly. Five super simple tricks that give your hair a total upgrade for the afterparty . It's all in the details.
The ponytail 3.0
A ponytail hasn't been just a regular ponytail for a few years now. It has gone from super full to super slick, and you can do all sorts of things with it. It always seems like an easy solution, but even our Doutzen has gone to Cannes with a ‘regular’ ponytail, and it looked incredibly good. So, ordinary? No, a ponytail hasn't been that for a long time. To give it a new upgrade, twist the ends back to the elastic, creating a sort of loop. Then spray it generously with hairspray for shine and hold, and it will stay in place all evening. It looks like a work of art. You've long shaken off the ordinary from that ponytail.
A blowout without a brush
Do you also stand every morning with brushes and curlers blow-drying in front of the mirror? Just leave all those tools aside. Because instead of the polished look, you can easily create a brushless look. This automatically gives you more texture in your look, allowing your natural waves to take shape. If you find that a bit too intense for your daily look, you can wear it in a braid during the day. This way, you maintain the wavy look that you can let loose in the evening.
From bun to braided version
A bun is, of course, a very easy solution for a neat, good hairstyle. But you can definitely make it a bit more exciting. A small braid that you wrap around the bun is immediately a nice accessory. The bun can be quite messy, but the braid gives it a very chic accent.
“The most beautiful thing is, of course, to really nail the Snow White look”
From nineties to twenties
In the nineties, hairstyles could be grand and dramatic. So those curls couldn't be big enough. And it’s still true in the hair world that: a big mess is more. If you find it all a bit too wild and want to give that rough hairstyle an operatic effect, use a nice pin in your hair. Preferably with stones, glitter, and other prettiness. You can then wear everything beautifully to the side. You have the volume, but in a très chic way.
The ribbon
No matter how your hair is styled, a ribbon always works well. You can give a ponytail, a bun, or just loose strands a little extra. All you have to do is tie a ribbon around the strands. The most beautiful thing is, of course, to really nail the Snow White-look (because yes, she has made the ribbon worthy of a style icon) by keeping the strands shiny and smooth, and preferably using a nice serum to let the ends fall softly.
