7 REASONS WHY YOU'RE GOING TO WATCH TV AGAIN
Yes, we were really in a black and deep valley because the public broadcaster stopped programming, but thank goodness, we are awake again. Josselin and Jet bounced on the couch because ‘their’ Who is the Mole? is back (if the creators of this program read this and are still looking for two charming candidates for the new series...) and I watched mainly because my colleague Cécile Narinx is participating and I was very curious about how a fashion lady would look with a backpack.
But there is more that keeps us off the streets and on the couch, so your editors Josselin Bijl and the undersigned dove into the VARAGids to push our favorites under your nose.
Who is the Mole?
So. Every Saturday night instead of the familiar Thursday. So we have quite a problem with that because ‘our’ Thursday has suddenly been taken away and on Saturday we generally have something more fun to do than to binge. But okay, then we will watch Uitzending Gemist at a fixed time because you want to experience this collectively.
starfish
This program was colloquially called C-stars because you don't think of every candidate: Wow, how did they manage to snag that one. But there is also Victor Reinier, Anouk Smulders, Jamai (you know, the one who won Idols a hundred years ago), Leontien Zijlaard-van Moorsel (who has become besties with Anouk), Gerard Joling, Danny de Munk, and a few other types. It was intense behind and in front of the screens so I'm ready and I'm definitely team Anouk. Monday night at 20:30 on RTL4.
The smartest person
Since I participated here (just one episode, look here for a moment) but since then I naturally want to know how it will end. Sanne Wallis de Vries just got out (after six great episodes), so now my co-broadcaster Eric Smit (journalist, you know, the one from the book about Nina Brink and also the one from The source code, which I really thought was a very good book) is still in. And even my six-year-old daughter is hooked, so tonight it will be channel surfing between Zeesterren and The smartest because that is also at 20:30, but then on NPO2.
Divorce and Moordvrouw
For the drama lovers among us, two new series from your favorites. We found Divorce a bit disappointing so we are not really mourning that it stops. Moordvrouw on the other hand, we found even more fun and how good does Wendy van Dijk look lately. Even while she is in a coma...
Turn on the TV at 20:00 on RTL4 and the rest will follow automatically.
jinek
We love attractive women with substance who make jokes here and there, so we are ready for Jinek. For that, you can take a breather with the documentary about 25 years of Marco Borsato (22:30, RTL4) because who doesn't love Marco? 23:00 Jinek on NPO 1.
Nick & Simon, The Dream
You should know that when I was in LA, around the corner from our hotel, ‘those’ Nick and Simon from the Netherlands performed. Are they THE Nick and Simon? Yes, they were really the Nick and Simon who went to LA for their program where singing coach Babette Labeij guided them in the music industry.
They had to entertain a regular LA audience with songs. I couldn't make it that night (I think I was eating at Chateau Marmont or something), but the team went and they had a great time. Until they requested ‘Rosanne’ because then the room emptied. Poor thing.
Thursday at 20:30 on NPO 3.
Over my dead body
“No, is there another Over My Dead Body? When is the first one?” Jet immediately calls out across the editorial office. Well, Thursday then. And then we will watch and cry collectively.
22:15 on NPO 1.
