7 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT OUR FAVORITE NEW SUMMER DRINK LIMONCELLO
I already told you here : Villa Massa's limoncello is the shit. Call Danielle and me slightly biased because we've both been to the lemon groves in Sorrento and are now forever spoiled and want nothing else.
7 facts you didn't know about this lemon liqueur.
Did you know that…
– It takes at least 250 grams of lemon peels to make 1 liter of limoncello? It's best enjoyed when you drink it ice-cold?
– Research from Northumbria University in England has shown that smelling a lemon sharpens the mind and boosts self-confidence?
– At Villa Massa, at least 2500(!) kilos of lemons are peeled every day? That's machine work, don't worry.
– A Sorrento lemon is larger than the lemons we know in the Netherlands? (they weigh an average of 300 grams each, while ours barely weigh 160 grams.)
– There are about 300 lemon trees on the Villa Massa estate? And visitors can even taste the peel, which is just very tasty and sweet?
– May is the best time to pick lemons? In case you ever feel tempted.
– Daan and I are hired for parties and events after 3 limoncellos? I mean. Spread the word people, everyone to the lemon.
Not convinced yet? Then Jet will tell you here a little more about what else you can do with a wonder lemon.
