5 X What to do with lemon
I'm back at my desk at the Amayzine editorial office. Still a bit with my head in the Côte where I was last week. There, I ordered a citron pressé every morning, nowhere else tastier than in France. Pure lemon juice with water. I believe opinions differ on this and that some healthy bloggers don't find it healthy for your body at all, but I can tell you: I feel absolutely great on it. I'm a fan of lemon because what you can do with it is endless, but here I give you five examples. From household tricks with lemon to lemon in your food and drinks.
Beachy blonde? Just add some lemon juice to your hair, in the sun with your head and your locks will turn super blonde. Whether it's healthy for your hair is another story, but it works (sorry Josselin and Coco). By the way, be careful with lemon juice, the sun, and your skin. I once sat on a tropical island where a drop of juice accidentally landed on my leg and then boom, my skin burned immediately. With peeling and all, and now I have a nice scar from it.
So I really hate it when I'm in the shower with a mini-stream. I'm pretty bad at cleaning bathrooms. I don't know, I actually find it a terrible job, but what I do is hang my showerhead in lemon juice as soon as there are some holes clogged with lime. Seriously a miracle remedy.
What's also fun is that when your fridge doesn't smell fresh, you can put half a lemon in a bowl in your fridge. The odors are gone in an instant.
You can also make delicious lemonade. Just dilute some agave syrup with water, add a mountain of ice cubes, and you're done. Lemon slices and a sprig of mint, a nice straw in it, and you have a lovely summer drink.
Put some lemon juice in an ice cube tray and let it freeze. Fun and tasty in a pitcher of water for dinner.
