ANTI-STRESS SUNDAY SCENES
TO ENJOY DOING ALONE
I am not religious myself, but I have to give credit to those who do live by the Bible: the ‘Sunday Rest Day’ is actually quite a solid plan. And here's why:
Just take a nice walk
With your nose in the fresh air, the fresh air in your nostrils and your favorite music in your ears. At moments like these, you come up with the brightest ideas, I say from personal experience.
Watch your favorite series again
Yes, here we go again. Sex and the City. Season 1. Episode 1. Big teapot next to you (and a piece of Tony’s Chocolonely or something, says the woman who lines, ahem…). Who was talking about stress?
Light a lavender scented candle in the living room
Oh god, now I really sound like a total loser. Even my cats love it.
Take an extensive bath
Staying in bed is the code word. Just stay lying down and let the lukewarm water warm up again by turning on the tap with your big toe. It's a sport, people. (For the unfortunate people without a bath, a long shower works too)
Give those nails a fresh coat of polish
And finally have time to do it really carefully. I become so zen from beautiful, polished nails.
Finish the to-do list
Give the junk room in the house a makeover, let that frozen BLOCK OF ROT thaw at the back of your fridge, calmly take the time to look at the bookkeeping... You should see how zen you start your week on Monday.
