The only downside to matte lipstick? Those little cracks in your lips and dry flakes that you usually get as a souvenir at the end of the day. Not sexy.

It's important that you take a lipstick that contains enough ‘nourishment’. And that's why I pulled out four very nice new colors from Rimmel yesterday from the beauty cabinet. To test immediately and to rank them by favorite.

Behold: ‘The Only 1 Matte Lipstick line.’ At number 1: the light pink nude color ‘Salute’. Absolutely great for a first date. Nice and creamy, not too over the top, but a nice color on your face. The next winner is ‘The Matte Factor’, a deep wine red color to go out chic. Number 3: ‘Take The Stage’, with which you can really rock the place, but with the positive WOW factor. And last but not least: ‘Trendsetter’, for when you like something more brownish nude. I think it doesn't quite suit my own skin tone, but if you have a slightly paler face, it's incredibly classy. I believe that.

Do they last long? Absolutely. Do they all pass the absolutely matte check? Hmm, to be honest, I expected them to be a bit more matte, but they do feel really nice, I must say. Do we feel happy about the packaging? Nice Christmas red, so absolutely. Is it a bit pricey? Yes: €11.99 each. Did they smell nice? If you like melon scent (oh yes), then you're good with these friends. And perhaps the most important thing: It. Does. Not. Dry. Out. Which immediately gives bonus points times ten. So hey, uh, Kylie Jenner, move your ass, it's my turn to shine.
