Fun & Famous
THE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
The good, the bad & the ugly
Yes sir, last night was all glam in Hollywood for the American Music Awards. And also a night for celebs to bash Trump. Delicious. Je t’aime. And with award shows, there are always some beautiful, some intense, and some ‘what the hell were you thinking’ looks. Here they come:
The Good
-Selena Gomez: Furthermore, according to La Meis, there is also a date with actress Marcia Cross (known from among others in a red Prada dress. And she also went home as Favorite Female Artist with a tear-worthy acceptance speech in which she mentioned her struggles with the spotlight. “If you are broken, then you don’t have to stay broken.”
-Zoë Saldana looked very patriotic in a red-white-blue suit from Monse. No idea if it has anything to do with the election results, but glitter always does well on the red carpet.
-Lady Gaga, never thought I would put her on a list of favorite looks but the white suit she wore, I would just, want to have in my own closet. Only the hat, she can keep that.
-Yehess, Hailee Steinfeld. I was already in love with this dress when I saw it on the Elie Saab runway. A thousand golden, or in her case green, stars for Hailee.
“If you are broken, then you don’t have to stay broken.”
The Bad
-Drake, take off your glasses. It doesn’t look good.
-Idina Menzel: sorry babe, not that I don’t like the dress, but leave it hanging next time for the Gigi and Kendall types.
-Kat Graham: the Kardashian look gone wrong. Yikes.
-Chrissy Teigen, girl, I love you, but that dress you wore was really extremely intense. How does it stay in place for heaven's sake? And was it worth the bladder infection?
-Oh Heidi Klum, as if you should be lying under a Christmas tree. Nein.
The Ugly
-Keke Palmer: This Scream Queen actress went for a 90s vibe à la Lil’ Kim. But sorry, I’m not feeling it. Too revealing, too short, too sheer, too no. Just no.
– Oof, Olivia Munn, also a case of too short.
-Julianne Hough was always secretly a girl crush of mine, but the purple look she put herself in: fail.
Star of the night, miss Gigi Hadid, also deserves a round of applause for all the outfits she rocked last night. But even more applause for her Melania Trump impersonation: “I love my husband, president Barack Obama and our children Sasha and Malia.” Bold, G.
