Er is geen berg te hoog

Nail art is a real thing in the world of nail trends. Flown in from Asia. A few years ago, everyone was busy with pens and tweezers to create true works of art on their nails. And it got bigger and bigger: diamonds were glued on like crazy, emoticons were painted over, and the French manicure received a valuable upgrade. Now, every trend always gets a successor, and that successor is either more than worthy or just a total disaster.

Let me update you. The newest trend for a fresh coat of polish is the polish mountain. Take it literally. It’s a mountain of nail polish, averaging about a centimeter thick. Nail artist Christine Rotenberg started it as a challenge to layer all the colors she had in her possession. After 116 colorful layers, it became a bubblegum explosion.

”As a lazy polisher, I already struggle to let the neat two layers dry”

For a lazy polisher like me, it will not yield a successful result. Or maybe it will. In any case, you’ll be busy with it for about 12 hours. And does it dry? I wonder. As a lazy polisher, I already struggle to let the neat two layers dry, so this ‘tried and tested’ is not for me. But feel free to let me know when you want to give me the first update. I’m incredibly curious. That this started as a joke and suddenly got taken over by enthusiastic polishers was something no one could have predicted. And that it is now labeled as a trend, even Asia couldn’t have imagined.
