Smooth and shiny into the new year
3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT WAXING
Just to get straight to the point on this Sunday, I thought. Well, this topic also needs to be addressed, and I thought: let’s do it at the beginning of the year when you’re still here and could use some tips and tricks. Because while you may start working towards a tight and smooth body from now on, the rest also needs to be sorted out. Three things to keep in mind so that you no longer walk out of the waxer but that it all becomes a lot more pleasant.
Preparation is half the work
Sounds a bit easy, because you don’t go to the waxer for nothing. But the smoother you want the result, the better a good preparation is. Scrubbing is really the key word. It loosens the skin a bit, you remove dead skin cells, and ingrown hairs come loose so they can be easily removed.
Do not shave
Also a little thing. You just really should not shave. Not even if a few hairs are already coming up, the razor is forbidden. It’s really a bit annoying the first few times because things grow and bloom down there a bit faster, but after a few sessions, you can easily make it to the next appointment without having grown a huge bush. It’s important that your hairs are the perfect length because then the wax grabs them better and they really stay away for up to six weeks. The shorter the hairs, the less time they stay away. The golden rule for the best result is that hairs should be at least one centimeter long.
The right time
Choose the right time. It might be handy not to plan it ‘around that time of the month’ since everything is a lot more sensitive then. And maybe also not around a nice date, or just before that, or a fun event. Checking agendas is therefore not a luxury. It simply saves you a lot of hassle.
