BEAUTY WITH BENEFIT

– This way you have the most beautiful brows in the country –

Last week our wild eyebrows were tamed by Benefit’s brow artist Anuka. She has had quite a few women in the chair to provide them with a perfect brow, so you’re in good hands with Anuka. Now, a week later, I am still incredibly happy with my Cara look and so this was my little ode. While in the brow chair, I asked Anuka a few questions about brows that you will surely find very interesting and that contribute significantly to the perfect look.

Streetstyle
I come from Georgia and there the Italian beauty is embraced. Everyone pays quite a bit of attention to appearance, so eyebrows are very important. Dutch women can still learn something from that. If you look at the street scene here, you can see that women don’t consider the eyebrow the most important feature for the face, while they actually provide so much structure and character.

Waxing and plucking
There are plenty of tutorials available about eyebrow shape, but don’t just take it into your own hands. It’s better to have a brow artist really look at it, because they consider much more in your face than just the eyebrow. The best thing is to have your eyebrows waxed into the most beautiful shape. You don’t have to come back every week for a waxing session if you see a stubble or hair coming up, because you can definitely pluck that with tweezers, as long as you don’t alter the shape. If you really have a wild mess again, you can visit again and they will be shaped up.

Trends
Of course there are trends in the brow area. Cara has let the full eyebrow celebrate a party and this season some thin lines have been spotted again. So there is a trend and you can notice that women are starting to find their eyebrows increasingly important. The only thing is that you shouldn’t just copy a trend immediately. Let a brow artist really look at what suits you best. A different shape fits each person and by looking closely at that, you get an even more beautiful structure in your face.

Stay true
This sounds like a huge sales pitch, but stay true to the brow artist you have chosen. They have determined the shape, and another brow artist might think slightly differently about it. Not handy.
