The 9 Streets bike route
I get on my bike every day. Through rain and wind. Josselin takes the train from Bussum every day, but she has a neat bike at the station in Amsterdam. We both have quite an old clunker, but at least it won't get stolen. Joss's is spray-painted gold, mine has various rusty bells, dangling smoothie holders, and broken lights, but hey, it rides! But, when we're at the Amayzine editorial office, we have two other friends, because for a message or appointment during working hours, we take a flashy VANMOOF bike. Our editorial bikes. They are brand new, ride like a dream, and have a cozy basket in front. And because Josselin and I love biking so much, we went out together. To our favorite spots in The 9 Streets. Pluk Amsterdam
Reestraat 19
Josselin and I buy a smoothie to go here, but actually, we should spend a bit more time here. There are nice seating areas inside (or outside in front of the door!) and the menu features delicious, super healthy sandwiches and salads. Inside the shop, there are many crates with vegetables and fruits, so you immediately know that only fresh products are used. The service consists of the sweetest girls, and there’s also a small shop with cute dishes, notebooks, postcards, and more of those lovely little things. Very girly, but very nice. Oh yes, also check out the webshop they recently launched.
Local Service
Hoek Runstraat/Keizersgracht
Tip! Only step inside when there’s a massive sale. Brands like Paul Smith, Equipment, Missoni, Chloé, you’ll go crazy. Local Service is a tiny shop, but with a wonderfully beautiful collection. Bring your wallet. By the way, this shop is also very good for hats and shawls. Well, I think I’ve made myself clear.
Denham The Jeanmaker

For a good pair of jeans (and they are really hard to find), we bike over to Denham Women’s Store. In the shop, the trendiest people in Amsterdam will inspire you a lot. And oh yes, they often have a selection of the coolest (Nike) sneakers of the moment. I think it’s a great store.

MENDO
Berenstraat 11
If you really want to impress with your interior, sell your house in no time, or just need a shot of inspiration: go to Mendo. It’s an incredibly beautiful bookstore where they have the most unique coffee table books. Take your time, because you’ll definitely spend the first ten minutes admiring the interior (black, cool, and impressive), and then of course, there’s the time spent choosing a beautiful copy. You then lay that book open at home on the most beautiful pages and bet that your house will be sold in no time or that you’ll give your interior a first-class upgrade?
Marie-Stella-Maris

Just around the corner from The 9 Streets is the flagship store of Marie-Stella-Maris. An incredibly cool cinema lightbox wall (I want it, I want it, Jet wants it too) and care products that look the best in your bathroom. Okay, and by coincidence, they also smell very nice and feel soft on the skin.

The greed level is seriously high in this shop, so I (Josselin) left Jet outside for a bit. Otherwise, you’re guaranteed to be here for three hours. Nice little gifts, cute jewelry, and baby outfits if you want to dress up your nephew or niece in something new and cute.
Gerda’s Bloemen

So while I was emptying Mint Mini Mall, I dropped Jet at Gerda’s Bloemen. A paradise for flower lovers. They have all kinds of tropical varieties here, you can have the most beautiful bouquets put together, and the cheerfulness flies around you.
