Pregnant? This way you still look slim in photos
I wrote about it recently: it seems like everyone is suddenly pregnant. From family to celebrities and top models: really the whole planet is suddenly expecting a baby. As if women have collectively agreed on it. The big downside of being pregnant: it automatically means gaining weight. For some maybe a little less than for others, but the fact remains: it's miserable. And you don't want to look frumpy in photos.
So how do those models still appear super slim on Facebook and Instagram? Like this:
1. Make that photo absolutely from the side
Turning a quarter turn in a photo is always a good idea, as it automatically makes you look slimmer. And hello, from the side you can show that this is really about a baby bump. Hands on your belly and your pregnancy model pose is born.
2. Choose good maternity clothing
It remains tricky: don't opt for overly loose garments, but don't stuff your pregnant body into overly tight clothing either. Just Google Kim Kardashian and then, uh, you'll know how not to do it.
3. Put one arm on your hip
Create a little space between your waist and arms. Otherwise, your waist completely disappears, read here maar even.
4. If you can handle it, wear those heels
You might need to buy a size larger due to swollen feet, but for a slim effect, those heels are really important, just look at Alessandra Ambrosio during her pregnancy. And if necessary, just for the photo, huh, that those ankle killers are then immediately swapped back for flats is nobody's business, shh.
5. Tilt your pelvis
I once learned this from a fashion photographer: if you keep your back straight and subtly push your pelvis back, every person looks about five kilos slimmer. It may feel a bit unnatural, but just do it for that photo.
