TAKE IT EASY

By relaxing, you really have the most beautiful skin

Dull skin, wrinkles that are more visible and spots in places where you definitely don't want them? Well, I managed to wipe that off this weekend. The solution was actually incredibly simple. Together with the beauty brand Philosophy, I went away for a few days to the outback of the Netherlands (think: beautiful estate, the tastiest and healthiest food, nice company, and beds you really don't want to get out of) and there I just relaxed for three days. That was the assignment. ‘Take a deep breath and enjoy.’ What turns out? Hopsa, relaxing is good for yourself, but also for your skin. And those three things that I had trouble with? They are just gone and you get a relaxed life and the most beautiful skin in return.

Beauty sleep

You can somewhat imagine that with too little sleep you get a very bad skin. Bags that hang under your eyes like well-filled bags and skin that looks very dull. You don't want that. Sleep actually gives the chance for the skin to recover. Eight hours of sleep is really the average, so try to keep an eye on that.

Sporty Spice

Stress gives you bad skin. And so exercising is the solution. Yes, yes, I really understand that you say you don't have time for that, but exercising makes you relax and you can see it immediately on your skin. A better blood circulation is the result.

Relaxation

We took a walk in the woods and a bike ride. And it was quite fun. We were in a place without even a bit of wifi, so we were completely left to ourselves. That did us good. You enjoy both the environment much more and you really take your rest that way. You inhale the oxygen in the woods nicely and that is of course also very good for your skin. You naturally get color back in your face that you don't have when you're staring at your laptop all day.

Eat beautifully

If you are stressed or just incredibly busy, you often forget to eat. Or you do eat, but you quickly grab a few Snickers, Twixes, and bags of chips. And that coffee, right, also such a ‘drain’ in busy times. Actually, all not so good. Caffeine drains moisture from your body, while you actually need moisture for energy and skin. So drink enough water and eat fruits and vegetables that are vitamin bombs. It will do you good and it will do your skin good.

Moisturizing

Rest helps to bring your skin into the best condition. Better to go on vacation all year round, because then you really have the most beautiful skin. Moisturizing helps too. Especially when you're on vacation. It helps protect you against that nasty radiation from the sun, but it also helps against harmful influences.

Facial gymnastics

A massage relaxes and you ultimately feel really nice and supple because of it. So why not for your face? It relieves stress, stimulates blood circulation, and ensures a relaxed skin. And actually, it's also incredibly fun, that gymnastics. Look here for some exercises.
