Taylor Swift, then and now
Often, Taylor was labeled ‘America's Sweetheart’. Whether that is truly the case is yet to be discovered, because after a number of incidents with Kanye West (for ‘I made that b*tch famous’ she did seem to have given her blessing), it seems a bit like the princess of pop secretly has a darker side. From sweetheart to pop diva; Tay has transformed quite a bit over the past decades.
Her hair
The sweet girl with long blonde curly hair now goes through life with a short haircut with a statement fringe. And you hardly see her without a statement red lip. Apparently men find that wildly attractive, so smart move, girl.
Her style
From lovely dresses and cowboy boots to killer high heels and mini skirts and dresses. In terms of style, Tay has undergone a significant transformation. Do you remember the dress she wore at the Met Gala? Look here for a moment. The sweet country singer from back then would have never worn that.
Her music
Taylor once broke through as a country singer with songs like ‘Teardrops On My Guitar’ and ‘You Belong With Me’. All wonderfully sugary. But Taylor grew up, so it was time for a new sound. She decided that pop was going to be her new thing. One genre she did stick to: writing songs about all the men in her life. And there are many.
Her girlfriends
From Disney starlets to her own girlsquad with the world's hottest models. Tay always makes sure she has a female entourage around her. In the past, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato were among Taylor's close friends, but the former Disney starlets have long been replaced by, among others, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Blake Lively, and Cara Delevingne. Not that Miley and Demi mind, quite the opposite. They find Tay's squad a joke.
Her boyfriends
These are the people responsible for all the millions that constantly flow into her bank account. In the past, she had a crush on the Disney guys, until Joe Jonas broke her heart. Then there was a boy with the same name from the Twilight series. Taylor and Taylor, quite confusing. Then came John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy (related to, yes), Harry Styles, and then everyone thought Tay had finally managed to find her own prince Charming in Calvin Harris, but when that suddenly turned out to be from nowhere, she was already running around like a lovesick teenager with Tom Hiddleston. Are you keeping up? Well, Tom is also already a man of the past, and now there are rumors that Drake is her new victim. Say it ain't so, Drake, say it ain't so. I’m rooting for Rihanna.
