The 7 benefits of not being a fitgirl
I wrote after more than ten weeks of exercising and eating healthy: that fit girl I am, uh, probably never going to be. Now I could feel really bad about that, but to use the best quote ever from Johan Cruyff once again: every disadvantage has its advantage.
Here they come:
1. You are an easy person during dinners
Are we going to eat sushi? Pizza? A salad on the terrace then? Or shall we just go to the snack bar? You don't care, you're so flexible. Wonderful.
2. Hallelujah: you can eat your food while it's still warm
Never bothered by poorly lit pictures, unphotogenic food, and friends who impatiently wait until they can finally take a bite. No, your food goes straight -if it's damn still warm- into your mouth. Period.
3. You have much more time
Traveling to the gym, the workout itself, back home, showering, getting up earlier to make your turbo whole grain-soy-goat milk-oatmeal... It's all unnecessary, that peanut butter sandwich is much quicker to spread.
4. You sleep in longer
Because that freshly made spinach/blueberry/whatever smoothie that you have to get up a quarter earlier for is simply not made.
5. You save money
Do you know how expensive it is to be healthy every day?
6. You are not overwhelmed with questions for tips
Jet: “For some reason, people always ask me for advice and send me pictures when they are at the gym.” Strange, right, Jet? I never have that problem.
