THE FACTS AND FABLES ABOUT HAIR EXTENSIONS

Beauty by Roos helps to eliminate all the hassle

A few years ago, when I thought about hair extensions, it made me incredibly sad and itchy. Google Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton 2008 and you understand what I mean. Knots in the hair, a total line of glue visible and strands that just didn't have the same color. Fortunately, that was a long time ago. And that is really not true anymore. Beauty by Roos , for example, is truly the queen in the field of hair extensions. She knows how it should be done, what the facts and fables are, and helps to eliminate those fables immediately. Because in the end, we all become happier with some extra hair on our heads, as long as it is done beautifully.

Biggest misconception

“That hair extensions are glued, knotted, or woven into your hair. Nowadays, there are systems that ensure that the super small attachment is softened by sound waves and wrapped around the hair. We have been specialized in hair extensions for years. And new techniques keep coming, from micro rings to clip-in products. It would be no trouble for us to sell these as well. However, we only want to place what we fully stand behind. Therefore, we only work with the 'one by one' technique in all Beauty by Roos-salons. Strand by strand, they are attached to your own hair. We can apply the exact colors, volume, and length where needed. The recommended wearing time is 3 to 4 months. The thicker your own hair is, the longer the durability. And you understand: we place the extensions with machines that work on sound waves and are therefore harmless to your own hair.‘

Are extensions bad for your hair?

“If you have hair extensions placed correctly, take good care of them, and have them professionally removed again, they are not harmful to your hair. Everything depends on the three golden rules mentioned above. Therefore, only have hair extensions placed at well-trained salons, expertise is really a must. All employees who work at Beauty by Roos are intensively trained for months before they start working with clients.”

You need to take good care of hair extensions

“Good care of your hair extensions is indeed extremely important. Extensions are actually cut hair that has been decolorized and then recolored. Therefore, the extensions need extra nourishment, also because extensions do not receive nourishment from the sebaceous glands. With the right care, your hair extensions will stay beautiful longer and you will enjoy them for a longer time. Therefore, make sure you receive good information from your hairdresser.”

So you can't use regular shampoo?

“Better not. Take good care of them. For the preservation of the attachment, it is important that the extensions are cared for with the right shampoo and conditioner. In the salons of Beauty by Roos, we use the products from Hairloxx Professional, they have developed several lines specifically for hair with hair extensions.”

Hair extensions, do you spend a lot of time taking care of them?

“The maintenance is actually quite manageable. Brush well twice a day, don't sleep with wet hair to prevent tangles, and care for them with the right products is sufficient.”
