THE LONGEST LASHES AND PASTEL ON YOUR EYES
The 5 trends of this spring that you need and want to know
Every now and then I spot my colleagues already on a bare leg. The worst rain is over and despair haircut is no longer a standard part of our outfit. Oh, and we are of course hanging the newest outfits back in our closet. So. It's high time to push the beauty trends of this spring under your nose, because they really complete the look. These four trends are trending topics and finish off every look.
Doll eyes
Eyes need to be grand and captivating. Where last year it was all about bold smokey eyes and catchy eyeliners, the focus is now really on the lashes. Grand and captivating, as Louis Vuitton, Marni, and Thomas Tait want to tell us. The lashes can be so incredibly long that they reach the ceiling.
Out-of-pool-hair
The wet look remains. It has been around for a while, but each time a little cautiously. The top could get a layer of gel, the bottom was neatly curled. Now it has just become extremely wet look. At Kenzo, Missoni, and Dsquared, the hair was well coated with products that made it all look out-of-pool. Neat, no mess. That remains the rule.
Plump lips
The lips are either dark or very natural. Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, and Fendi showed that the romantic lip is very much allowed, but preferably as matte as possible. A tiny bit of glitter is allowed, but otherwise it should be as close to your natural color as possible.
Bushy brows
You were already very busy letting your eyebrows grow and flourish, but now you actually don't have to do anything with them anymore. They can be raw, they can be undone, and there can be hairs in places where you would normally pluck them right away. The brows at Christopher Kane, for example, were little bushes above the eyes. Minor detail; I'm still talking about the eyebrows, okay? Not about other parts of the body.
Tropical eyes
If you can't choose a favorite color eyeshadow, then you're good with the trend of multicoloring. Makeup artist Lloyd Simmonds from MAC Cosmetics sent the models out with multiple colors of eyeshadow. Yellow, green, and blue were all mixed and matched together. That doesn't mean you have to leave the house like a peacock. It's done in a colorful way. See?.
