9 things you probably didn't know about Victoria and David Beckham
Can you imagine a life without Victoria and David Beckham? That's like fries without mayonnaise, Dolce without Gabbana, and Louboutins without squished toes. Those two belong together. A little slip-up here or there (remember Rebecca Loos?) aside, this is the ultimate love duo. And I can say that because I have seen them together and that is love, people. Love. To celebrate their anniversary, I dove into the trivia that you definitely wouldn't want to miss. And I managed to dig up nine. Here they come.
1. How it all began
Victoria's agent, Simon Fuller, was a big fan of Manchester United and took Victoria to a match. It was there in the bar that she met David. “What I liked most about David was that he was just sitting with his parents and sister after the match and wasn't at the bar drinking and bragging with the other players.”
2. The proposal
David first politely asked Victoria's father for Victoria's hand and later, somewhere in North England, got down on one knee.
3. The best gift ever (when did you last receive a vineyard?)
Victoria and David absolutely love wine (bonus points) and a stocked wine cellar is a bit of a cliché gift, let's be honest. So David bought a vineyard in Napa for his lovely wife. Only open for family and friends. Great gift.
4. Golden balls
Victoria calls David ‘Golden Balls’, referring to his career. She says. We know better.
5. David has something weird
He has obsessive-compulsive disorder. He has three refrigerators. One for food, one for salads (maybe someone can tell David Beckham that ‘salad’ also falls under the category ‘food’) and one for drinks.

6. Why Spicy Girls couldn't happen
The Spice Girls were initially going to be called the Spicy Girls. But there was already a porn website with that name… Unfortunately.
7. A pregnant Spice Girl is no fun
Victoria was pregnant with Brooklyn during the Spice Girls tour. Getting bigger in a catsuit was no fun. Every night she said: I'm not doing this anymore. But then her agent waved her contract and said: the catsuit is on, and then she went again.
8. Also quite a nice gift
When David and Victoria were married for 13 years, David wrote a love novel for Victoria. And oh yes, he also booked a love nest for a modest 27 million dollars to spend some time together.
9. You must really like it
David's favorite dish is a meal from East London. Pie and mash with a side of jelly eels, to be precise. No idea what it is, but it sounds particularly disgusting.
