THE STRANGEST BEAUTY INGREDIENTS

There are those things that often appear in beauty products that you normally eat with spoons and that sound quite strange as a smear. Or actually, things you would rather not come into contact with at all. Welcome to the beauty industry. We all want the shiniest and fluffiest skin, and if that means we have to smear ourselves with poop, snake venom, or peanut butter, we’ll do it right away. But it is indeed strange.

A bit strange: quinoa

Yup, that’s what everyone is currently eating very enthusiastically. It’s also really the code word for anything that has even a little to do with eat healthy it. Still, it is said that you can also better apply it to your face because it will counteract pigmentation and will not give age spots a chance. And besides the facial color, it also does a lot of good for hydration. So not just eating, but also applying.

Strange: charcoal

Charcoal is a kind of wood charcoal, it’s hard to describe it otherwise, but you already get my point. It just sounds a bit strange. Still, it does its best to draw dirt out of the pores and thus is the master of a clean and clear skin. You now see many types of scrubs or ‘beauty stones’ that have this and it works tremendously. Believe me, I’ve tested it.

Pretty strange: bee venom

It actually makes sense when you think about it. When you get stung, the skin swells. So yes, it’s just a logical alternative to botox. You don’t have to panic about an allergic reaction, it’s definitely purified before you apply it. Your skin feels firmer and fuller and pulls a lot tighter. Wrinkles seem less deep and folds disappear. Completely harmless.

Disturbingly strange: urine

This would definitely not be the first thing you would immediately apply to your face. But you probably understand what it’s good for, as it is incredibly hydrating and also helps to build a good skin barrier. And, it’s definitely cheap.

Enormously strange: snake slime

I would really order this online and not go investigate it myself. It just sounds very disgusting. But it seems to help fade scars AND it gives an incredible shine to the skin. The Koreans certainly agree that this is the new beauty ingredient.

Strangest of all: dragon's blood

Yup, the strangest. No dragons are involved here, by the way – because where can you see those? – but it is derived from a plant that has the same name. Dragon's blood is said to be brilliant for reducing inflammation (goodbye pimples) and provides a good, full skin.

Good. You now know what you need to do for the most beautiful skin. Let me know if you’ve tried it? I’m really curious.
