THE SUMMER BACK ON YOUR FACE
This is how to apply bronzer like a pro
It was only three weeks ago that the summer officially ended but that nice color on my face I have really been missing for much longer, you know. There is a considerable dull, gray color that has returned and my foundation is back to the lightest shade in my cabinet. But hey, we have the bronzer. The savior in need. The power product that will drag you through the winter. The only catch is that you need to know which color you should have and how to apply it, because otherwise the chance is seriously high that you will stumble through winter like an Oompa Loompa. And that is something you definitely do not want.
The color
It can really be a bit darker than the natural color you have on your face, but preferably not more than two shades darker. Sometimes it sounds tempting to go even darker, but that looks so unnatural that you might end up looking like a poorly made-up Barbie doll. The absolute best is when you choose a bronzer with different color shades in it. Your face does not turn completely brown in exactly the same color. And with those different shades in the bronzer, you also get much more dimension in your face.
Darker is not better
Keep it really close to yourself, otherwise it will look quite fake. In any case, it is not handy to take the makeup items from someone else's toiletry bag but with a bronzer, it works double. The color of your friend is probably not the color you need.
The perfect texture
Also such a thing. If you have the right color, you still need to look at the texture. You have bronzers with a bit of glitter in them. Nice for a glow, but you can also look like a walking Christmas tree if you just powder a little too much. So be careful with that. Then you have the gel formulas. They are very light, but you also have to apply them very specifically and neatly to avoid getting spots. And then you have the matte variants. Perfect for shaping, but you also have to do that with the right instructions. Yes, if you thought it was going to be easy, then you are quite mistaken.
The brush
If you have the right product, you also need agood brush For a bronzer, it cannot be big and soft enough. The pointier they are, the more intense the color comes on your face. With such a large powder brush, you can distribute it beautifully and the color comes across much more naturally.
Powder box
And then it begins. Do not apply the bronzer all over your face. It is not a self-tanner, after all. Look closely at your face shape and where you need it. If you are going to shape, I refer you to these tips. Furthermore, the general tip is: you use a bronzer on places where your face normally gets hit by the sun. So where do you get tanned the fastest? On your forehead, your cheekbones, your nose, and the tip of your chin. Use the ‘3’-shape. Forehead, down through your cheekbones to your nose. Oh, and put a touch of powder on your nose and ears, because otherwise, it will be out of balance. You will see that your face will then get so much more dimension.
