Happy & Healthy
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE
We are looking for you. Or actually: for YOU ALL!
The editorial team is getting quite full with the coolest editors (yay, that’s me! And healthy Jet, funny Kiki, and master May) who are writing pieces for us, we have a top photographer who captures all those people in the best light, and sometimes a few people join in who make us chuckle about all their scenes they experience in a day and write about. It’s a game of musical chairs where you have to fight for a spot, and so far that’s going pretty well. So actually; the chairs are in high demand. But on two chairs, the sign ‘occupied’ is displayed, because one of those chairs could soon be yours. We are very keen to keep that free for two enthusiasts we can add to our Amayzine team.
We are looking for two interns who will give Amayzine even bigger wings, who wake up every morning with our site and dive into bed with it at the end of the day, and whose hearts skip a beat at the sound of ringing names from the modeling world, who chuckle at our posts and cry when nail polish is spilled on our designer bags. Because yes, that happens here all the time. So we are looking for someone who enthusiastically spruces up our editorial team and who wants to support our Amayzine team with love. In short, we are looking for you.
Or actually: for you all. We have two internship positions to fill. I’m going to tell you which ones. Drumroll. Rapapadiedo:
Creative sales and marketing intern
We are looking for you because…
– You have a huge affinity for online media and fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. You are basically online 24/7, can’t go an hour without social media, and whisper the latest developments in online media, sales, and marketing to us. Oh, and importantly: you know what other sites in this field are doing.
– Service-oriented, communicative, creative, and proactive are all standard in your vocabulary. So what do those things entail? We don’t need to explain that to you.
– Sales is your middle name. You always think three steps ahead to serve the customer like royalty. You are, together with our sales director Danielle, the royal supplier who ensures that everything the customer wants is accurately worked out, the agreements are adhered to, and that it goes online on time.
– You are creative. You think along about social media and marketing, toss around new ideas all day, and want to stay four steps ahead of the crowd. You bring a bit of innovation to the group.
But… we are still looking for someone! Namely a creative designer:
And that’s because…
– Design is incredibly important for Amayzine. We have, and we want to keep it this way, the look and feel of a magazine and therefore want every post to be accompanied by the most beautiful images and the most refined graphic arts. So yes, let’s be honest, how fun is it to tinker here every day in a ‘legal’ way? Just saying. Click here if you want to know what fun things you will be doing every day. Email us if you:
– Are creative. Seems like a necessity as a designer and therefore not entirely unimportant.
– Can bite off a bit of your own. It’s hard, independent, and precise work to provide the site daily with the most beautiful content. So you need to be a bit behind the Prada skirt or Levi’s jeans of our editors.
– InDesign and Photoshop are programs you prefer to watch over Netflix. Then you get it, right?
– You have knowledge of WordPress or are open to diving into this subject quickly.
– Pinteresting is an addiction you’d rather not get rid of. You have boards that are impressive, and the Pinterest server can hardly keep up with all the pinned inspiration from you.
What do you get from us?
– An educational internship (so no research or graduation internship, unless you manage to do your research outside working hours) at the coolest editorial team in the Netherlands.
– We often find it hard to say goodbye to interns. So the chance is very high that you will stick around with us for a while after that.
– The chance to contribute hands-on to the growth and world domination of Amayzine.
– An internship allowance.
– A workplace in a beautiful office in Amsterdam-Zuid.
– The tastiest and most extensive lunches in the city.
– Enough glasses of white wine to meet your alcohol tax.
– Parties, drinks: really, there is plenty of fun to experience.
You hear it. So we are looking for you. So crawl into your laptop, write a dazzling letter (I’ll refer you to this and read this post) and email your sales application to Annick@Amayzine.com and your design application to Lilian@Amayzine.com. Do it a bit quickly, because we’d like to see that office chair filled from September 1st, and you can warm your little behind there for at least five months. Of course, you are also very welcome earlier. That’s a plus, by the way. And another small plus: a driver’s license. Quite nice to hop along with us to all the fun boutiques in Amsterdam. Will we see your email pop up soon? I’ve already made some space in the mailbox.
