Tinder tired? Here are 6 fun alternatives
It was a thing. Everyone had to do it, did it, and by now we are also a bit done with that quick ‘swiping’. With every personality, there might be a different kind of app. What is currently on the market? I looked it up for you.
1. Bumble
In terms of appearance, this app looks strikingly like Tinder, but there is one big difference: only ladies can start the conversation. The goal of the app is to create a safe dating community, without sleazy guys and cheesy pickup lines. Sounds good.
2. Ohello
also the eleven reasons why you absolutely want to stay here according to May. here but let me elaborate on how this app works. The goal? To spend less time online and just meet each other right away. Just download, sign up with your Facebook profile, set up photos and you're set to go. Oh hello!
3. Hinge
Not in the mood to chat with strangers? Then Hinge is perfect for you. Here you only come into contact with your Facebook friends and friends of those friends. Much easier.
”If you find all those matches on Tinder a bit overwhelming, this is made for you”
4. Happn
If you're looking for someone you can meet quickly and spontaneously (and preferably lives nearby), then Happn is for you. In the Happn app, you get an overview of people you have been near (within a radius of 250 m), with location and time. You give that nice person a heart, and if they like you back, then you have a match and can chat. Make it Happn people.
5. Coffee Meets Bagel
If you find all those matches on Tinder a bit overwhelming, this is made for you. With this app, you only get one match per day. Then you can give feedback on why you do or do not like the match. The idea behind it? That you think a bit more before you swipe left or right and really get to know someone a bit before you pass judgment. Hoping that a Dutch version will come soon.
6. Her
An app specifically designed for women, made by women. Earlier this year, Her was rated as the ‘best app for lesbian women’ by the popular blog After Ellen. They wrote: “Unlike all other apps, Her focuses on the social side of dating.”
