What to do this weekend

From the hot stories circulating in the editorial office today, it is very much Friday. I'll spare you the details, but believe me: they are not for the faint-hearted, if you know what I mean ;-). Anyhow, after Friday comes Saturday and then comes Sunday, so that means one thing: weekend! Who, what, and where do you want to go? I'll tell you.

Knüss Winterfest

If you follow Amayzine a bit, you know that Christmas is quite a thing here. On December 6, the radio switched to Sky Radio 24h Christmas station, on the same day a tree was ordered at Uber, and the desk blocks are slowly but surely being transformed into real pine forests with a top and all. I also told you last week that you can go to the south for the Christmas market there. This weekend you can look a bit higher and go to Knüss Winterfest in the Dom city. The center of Utrecht is being transformed into a true winter paradise with delicious chocolate, glühwein, and there is a real Christmas tree market where you can find your perfect specimen.

Sissy-Boy Christmas market

If Utrecht is a bit out of your way, you can also go to this winter market at Amstelveld in Amsterdam. As the name reveals, the market is organized by Sissy-Boy. What can you expect? Besides the coziest Christmas ornaments from the Homeland collection, you'll also find glühwein. It is still the weekend, but you can also score other fun Christmas gifts from young entrepreneurs, there is live Christmas music and delicious food. You can find us there under the mistletoe.

“Until we meet again.”

Treasure hunting

If all that Christmas fuss doesn't appeal to you but you do feel like strolling through a market? Then you definitely need to go to the flea market at the IJ-Hallen this weekend. For the uninitiated; no, you won't just find old junk there. This flea market is actually the largest in Europe and if you go a bit early, there are really true treasures to be found.

Cheers, part 1

It is and remains the weekend, so I couldn't avoid this. A champagne club has been established. Yes, you heard it right. A. Champagne. Club. How, what, where? Moët & Chandon is opening this weekend and next weekend together with The Breakfast Club. This is located on Wibautstraat in Amsterdam and you can toast with your friends with a glass of Moët & Chandon, Krug, Ruinart, Veuve Cliquot, or Dom Perignon. Just make sure to have a good base beforehand, so the alarm doesn't sound too loud the next day.

Cheers, part 2

With your hangover from Cheers, part 1, this pop-up store might not be so much fun, but you will definitely find the coolest Christmas gift here. Since today, The House Of Belvedere has opened in P.C. Hooftstraat. Here you can have a silver Belvedere Bespoke bottle engraved with a name, date, or text, in addition to the entire Belvedere range (not so hangover-proof, though). I was thinking of: ‘Never Again’. A good reminder in case your alarm is really blaring in your ear. I already said it: cheers!

A very nice weekend for now, and as they say in English: Until we meet again.
