WHAT THE EFF

Are you also going crazy from your dry hands?

Bitchez! In the winter, I go completely crazy from two things. Number one is the harsh search for the perfect winter coat, number two is my dry hands. And I'm not exaggerating: sometimes I get so crazy from my dry hands that I just start LICKING my hands out of pure desperation.

Okay, I'm sorry I had to write this down, but I want you to understand how extremely dry my hands are. Sometimes I even get goosebumps from it. I mean! What a misery! I don't know why this has to happen to me again!

Fortunately, I have support from my sister, because she has it too. And that, dear people, leads to extraordinarily fascinating WhatsApp conversations. Conversations in which we are desperately searching for solutions, conversations in which blue-yellow horror emoticons dominate. But.. fortunately, I can tell you that after extensive research we have finally (think we) found the solution, and that is that you should use Savon de Marseille as hand soap and ban all supermarket hand soaps from your life for good. Like: BAM! Get rid of it! Which is easier said than done, because it means you can never just grab a soap dispenser from the supermarket.

“In short, the battle against dry hands is ON.”

But what is the secret of (the real) Savon de Marseille? I'll tell you. It is a soap based on natural ingredients, with only vegetable oils as raw materials. It contains no fragrances, animal fats, parabens, perfumes, or chemicals, and that is very good for the natural balance and softness of the skin. Oh, and it also contains a hefty dose of vitamin E, and many dermatologists have been fans for years. That's what I say: it is a famous top soap and that's it!

As a cherry on top, Savon de Marseille looks super beautiful and historical. And coincidentally, I really love historical things and history and the past, so that's a win-win situation! And if you don't believe me, you should quickly read my history lesson about tapestries. I know; tapestries have nothing to do with dry hands, although it is downright terrible to touch a tapestry with dry hands, but I was looking for a way to promote my piece about tapestries.

Well, and furthermore, my sister also talks about the silicone-free Citrus Hand and Nail Cream from Weleda. This cream does not work – like many other creams – quickly but temporarily. No. This stuff works in the long term. Good to know is that it feels a bit greasy and therefore doesn't absorb quickly, but in return, you need it less often during the day. So I'm going to buy that one soon too. In short, the battle against dry hands is ON. And if you have any tips for me, please. Very much. Because I really don't want to end up licking my hands again. Yuck!
