In case you missed it: Twitter exploded yesterday. Why? Patricia Paay allegedly had sex with David Bowie and talks quite, um, openly about it on De Wereld Draait Door. And that is not really taken well by her. Where I can actually relate.

Last night's broadcast was entirely focused on the pop singer who passed away the day before . A number of guests who personally knew the singer joined the table, including La Paay. But what started as an honorable memorial broadcast quickly took a different turn when Patricia began to speak openly about how Bowie cheated on his wife to have sex with her.... Let's quote Patries to get the story really down on paper. “I met David Bowie and his then-wife Angie around the Song Festival in Malta. They wanted to have a threesome with me. I wasn't ready for that at the time, but when I ran into him a few years later, he said: ‘You’re coming with me to my hotel’. We had a very long night,’ she recounts in the program. This time, David's wife was not invited to the adventure. “Yes, he was still with Angie, but he didn't care about that at all,” says Paay, who herself had no problem with the artist's infidelity.

And then there were social media. And Patries was nailed to the pillory. Now, the editorial team knew in advance that Patricia would open up about this, but still, it is quite vulgar and a bit intense to start talking about your wild sex life with Bowie just as the man has passed away. Especially since theater director Ivo van Hove (who recently worked intensively with Bowie) had to fight back tears in that same broadcast as he - genuinely moving - talks about their bond.
