Why men who blow-dry their hair are sexy
I was on a press trip a while ago and there was a rather ‘polished’ man there. The kind of guy who buys his shirts just a size too small so you can clearly see the contours of his arm muscles and who declines a drink because it doesn't fit into his sports regime.
In between all the activities, we had an hour of playtime that we spent by the edge of the pool. I had my laptop and wine, he was a bit further away without a laptop or book, with a glass of water. And in case we hadn't noticed that he had really put in a lot of effort at the gym, he took off his shirt for a moment. Just to upgrade the view a bit. That was nice of him.
As a bonus, he casually leaned on his right elbow during his chat with another female colleague. This made his body form the perfect curve. He was also slightly tanned. I suspect a sneaky tanning session.
At one point, the question came up ‘shall we have another one’ and ‘can we manage that, because we need to be dressed and ready for the taxi in half an hour’. Here we didn't think about that for a moment. You know my answer. My dress was ready, just a brush over my head and some fresh mascara and I thought I was good to go.
But Mr. Perfect stood up. “I still need to blow-dry my hair so I'm going ahead.” I nearly choked on my dry rosé. “Blow-dry?”
“Yes,” he said calmly. “My hair is getting a bit thinner and when I blow-dry it, I can camouflage that a bit.” And then in that moment of honesty and openness, I found him more attractive than with all those poses combined and wished him a fiery date with the prettiest girl of the evening.
