WHY TIME DIFFERENCE IS A GOOD THING

I have a few odd traits. Like the fact that I enjoy jet lag. If you want to know why, you should read this. I'm happiest when I head somewhere that's got a time difference, and this is why.

1. The adventure

When there's a time difference involved, it means your quite a trip away from your regular habitat. This argument doesn't always work because you can still be a long way away and still be in the same time zone. But anyways, in a place that has a time difference from your own, there's always adventure. See, advantage point number one.

2. Your a step ahead of the rest

This is an assumption you can make for yourself. If you're in Asia and you live in Europe, then you're already half a day ahead of everyone back home. You enter the new year quicker, you're off work quicker than the left side of the globe. But if you travel to New York from Europe, then you'll wake up really early which means you can hit the grocery store or grab a cup of coffee and check your mail before the rest of the city wakes up. Even run a lap through Central Park if you'd like.

3. There literally is a distance

You're far away and time wise it's a different zone than your home front. Take Italy as an example (and you live in a different European country). Then you'll spend your day wondering what your coworkers are doing. If you're in a different timezone, you won't. Too many calculations. You've got better things to do. Like drink cocktails for example.

4. People will let you do your thing

When they call you and they hear the international ringtone, they'll hang up. But when you answer your phone and tell them that they work you up/that you're sipping on cocktails, they'll leave you to it and you can continue along doing other things. Like drink cocktails.

And from time difference comes jet lag. There you have it, a complete circle.
